How Do You Get It?
Chlamydia can be transmitted by having vaginal, anal and possibly oral sex with someone who has the infection. It can be transmitted through sharing sex toys and if the infection is on the fingers, can be transferred to the eyes when touching them. It can also be passed from a pregnant woman to her baby.
Because Chlamydia usually has no symptoms it is possible to have the infection for several months, even a few years without knowing.
Remember, Chlamydia is easily treated with antibiotics and using a condom may help prevent you from getting it.
